What are the promotion prospects and pay scales for an FPSC Lecturer (BS-17) over 10 years?

Job security and recognition in terms of promotion is crucial for any job, so does for lecturer fpsc?

It depends on the department and the type of post you are referring to.

first, many departments have implemented time scale policy in which 10 years of jobs upscale 1, after next 8 years another 1 scale up and after another 5 years 1 scale up again. so if you are in BS 17 or recreated in it now, then after 10+8+5 years you will be in 23 BS 20.

In all other cases except time scale each department has different DPC held for promotion cases and based on the sanction posts for promtion you can expect where you will be in 10 years.

For an easy process to know, get the latest seniority list of your scale, and count down on superannuation/age of 60 years of your each seniors and then you will figure out when you can expect you promotion.

In some cases, for example in punjab, a post, Health and nutrition supervisor BS-17 has no career ladder defined in law and since 15-20 years they are recreated and still serving in BS-17.
