Cross-ventilation works on Bernoulli's principle and pressure differential:

• Wind hits the windward facade → creates high pressure (positive pressure zone).
• The leeward facade is in the wake of the building → low pressure (negative pressure zone).
• Air flows from high pressure (windward inlets) to low pressure (leeward outlets) through the building interior.

Effective cross-ventilation requires openings on opposite or adjacent walls, sized and positioned to capture prevailing wind. This is a fundamental passive cooling strategy in tropical architecture.
