Salah-ud-Din Ayubi (Saladin) was the great Muslim leader who led the forces during the Crusades. He recaptured Jerusalem from the Crusaders in 1187 CE and was known for his military genius, chivalry, and justice. He founded the Ayyubid dynasty and united Muslim forces against the Crusaders.
