Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (RA) belonged to the Banu Addi clan of the Quraish tribe. He was the second Caliph of Islam and ruled from 634 to 644 CE. Known for his justice and administrative skills, he expanded the Islamic empire significantly and established many governmental institutions.
