Munkar and Nakir are the two angels who question the deceased in their graves. They ask three questions: (1) Who is your Lord? (2) What is your religion? (3) Who is your Prophet? This questioning is part of the trial in the grave (Barzakh), and believers answer correctly while disbelievers fail.
