This is a repeat of questions 70 and 165. The Battle of Yamama resulted in the martyrdom of approximately 70 Huffaz-e-Quran, making it the deadliest battle for Quran memorizers. Fought in 11 AH (632 CE) during Abu Bakr's caliphate against Musaylimah the Liar, this battle was fierce and bloody. The death of so many Huffaz created urgency to compile the Quran in written form, leading to the first official compilation under Abu Bakr's supervision with Zaid ibn Thabit as the chief compiler.
