After returning from the Battle of Tabuk (9 AH), the Prophet (PBUH) ordered the demolition of Masjid al-Dirar (Mosque of Harm). This mosque was built by hypocrites in Medina with malicious intent—not for worship but to create division among Muslims and provide a base for enemy activities. The Quran revealed verses (9:107-108) exposing their hypocrisy. The mosque was demolished and burned, and the site was turned into a garbage dump to prevent its reconstruction.
