Zuhr Prayer (and all five daily obligatory prayers) are preceded by Adhan (call to prayer). Eid prayers and Janaza (funeral) prayer are not preceded by Adhan. For Eid prayers, there is a different announcement: 'As-Salatu Jami'ah' (Prayer is about to begin). The five daily prayers (Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) all require Adhan to announce their times, followed by Iqamah (second call) immediately before the prayer begins.
