While Makki Surahs (revealed in Makkah) focus on faith, monotheism, and the hereafter, Madani Surahs (revealed in Medina) deal with practical matters such as: Islamic jurisprudence, family law, inheritance, criminal law, economic regulations, social justice, relations with non-Muslims, and building an Islamic society. This reflects the transition from establishing faith to implementing a complete way of life.
