Salah (Prayer) is the second pillar of Islam after Shahadah (declaration of faith). Muslims are required to perform five daily prayers: Fajr (dawn), Zuhr (noon), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night). Salah was made obligatory during the Mi'raj (Night Journey) and is the first thing a Muslim will be questioned about on the Day of Judgment. It is the direct link between the worshipper and Allah, performed facing the Kaaba in Makkah.
