This is a repeat of question 70. The Battle of Yamama (632 CE) saw the martyrdom of approximately 70 Huffaz-e-Quran, the highest number in any single battle. This battle was fought against the false prophet Musaylimah al-Kadhdhab during the Ridda Wars under Hazrat Abu Bakr's caliphate. The massive loss of Quran memorizers prompted the urgent compilation of the Quran in written form to preserve it permanently.
