The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) died on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal 11 AH (June 8, 632 CE) in Medina at the age of 63. He was buried in the chamber of his wife Hazrat Ayesha (RA), where his mosque (Masjid-e-Nabawi) stands today. His death marked the end of divine revelation but the beginning of the preservation and spread of Islam throughout the world.
