Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) is the longest Surah in the Holy Quran with 286 verses (Ayaat). It is the 2nd Surah and was revealed in Medina. The name comes from the story of the cow mentioned in verses 67-73. This Surah covers various topics including faith, laws, stories of previous prophets, and contains Ayat-ul-Kursi (verse 255), which is the greatest verse of the Quran.
