Prophet Yunus (Jonah) AS was swallowed by a large fish (whale). When he left his people in frustration before Allah's permission, he was swallowed by a whale as a trial. He remained in its belly, making the famous supplication: 'La ilaha illa anta, subhanaka, inni kuntu minaz-zalimin' (There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers). Allah accepted his repentance and freed him, and his people eventually believed.
