Article 193(2)(a), as amended by the 26th Amendment 2024, provides that a person must have 'for a period of not less than ten years, been an advocate of a High Court.' The same period applies to judicial office under clause (2)(b). The earlier standard set by pre-2024 provisions required different periods.
