Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is characterized by a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that impairs functioning across settings. DSM-5 criteria require symptoms to be present before age 12 in at least two settings. ADHD is one of the most commonly diagnosed neurodevelopmental disorders in children. It may persist into adulthood and is associated with executive function deficits.
