Syllabus Details
As per standardized national curriculum set by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), MDCAT consists of 180 paper-based MCQs to be completed in 3 hours (180 minutes). There is no negative marking. To qualify, students need a minimum of 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS.
Subject-Wise MCQs Breakdown
The marks and question weightage are strictly distributed as follows:
- Biology: 81 MCQs (45%)
- Chemistry: 45 MCQs (25%)
- Physics: 36 MCQs (20%)
- English: 9 MCQs (5%)
- Logical Reasoning: 9 MCQs (5%)
Question Difficulty
- Easy: 15% (27 questions)
- Moderate: 70% (126 questions)
- Difficult: 15% (27 questions)
