Basic Scale, Name, and Nature of Post
The recruitment is for the position of Junior Clerk, classified under Basic Scale 11 (BS-11). This position is being offered on a regular basis.
Prescribed Qualification and Experience
Candidates must meet the following multiple requirements:
- A Higher Secondary School Certificate (Second Division) from a recognized board.
- A typing speed of 25 words per minute in English on a computer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or any other compatible office application.
- Sufficient knowledge of typing in Urdu with a speed of 25 words per minute.
Age Limits
The age criteria are defined specifically for female applicants. The eligible age range is 18 to 25 years plus an 8-year general age relaxation in the upper age limit, resulting in a maximum age limit of 33 years.
Gender, Domicile, and Place of Posting
This position is open to female candidates only. The required domicile for applicants is on an All Punjab basis. Successful candidates can be posted anywhere in the Punjab.
Syllabus for Written Examination/Test
If a written test is conducted, it will consist of a single paper containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The syllabus for this examination is split into two sections:
- General Ability questions account for 80% of the test, covering General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies (or General Knowledge for Non-Muslim candidates), Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, and Everyday Science.
- Questions relating to MS Office and Computer Skills account for the remaining 20% of the test.
According to the official notes, only the candidates who pass the written test will be called for the English typing test and proficiency test at a ratio of 1:20. Furthermore, candidates who successfully pass both the English typing test and the proficiency test will then be called to take the Urdu typing test on a computer.
