Basic Scale, Name, and Nature of Post

The recruitment is for the position of Deputy Director Agriculture (OFWM), classified under Basic Scale 18 plus a Special Pay of Rs. 165/- (BS-18+Rs.165/-SP). This position is being offered on a contract basis for an initial period of 03 years, which is extendable up to 5 years.


Prescribed Qualification and Experience

Candidates must possess an educational qualification equivalent to eighteen years of education, holding an M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering, a Master's degree in Water Engineering and Management, or an M.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture.

In addition to the educational qualifications, candidates must meet one of the following experience criteria:


  • Possess 03 years of post-qualification relevant experience in BS-18.
  • Possess 07 years of post-qualification relevant experience in BS-17.

According to the official note, only practical or administrative experience acquired after obtaining the prescribed qualification will be considered valid.


Age Limits

The age criteria vary based on gender. For male candidates, the eligible age range is 25 to 35 years plus a 5-year general age relaxation, totaling a maximum of 40 years. For female candidates, the age range is 25 to 35 years plus an 8-year age relaxation, totaling a maximum of 43 years. The age and sex of transgender applicants will be evaluated based on the data provided on their CNIC.


Gender, Domicile, and Place of Posting

This position is open to Male, Female, and Transgender candidates. Applicants holding a domicile from anywhere in the province of the Punjab are eligible to apply. The final place of posting for selected candidates can be anywhere in the Punjab.


Syllabus for Written Examination/Test

If a written test is conducted, it will consist of a single paper containing Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) worth 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The syllabus for this examination is broken down into two distinct parts:


  • Qualification-related questions make up 80% of the test content.
  • General Ability questions make up the remaining 20% of the test, covering General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, English, Urdu, Basic Mathematics, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies.
