Malgudi is the fictional South Indian town created by R. K. Narayan that serves as the setting for most of his works, including Swami and Friends, The Bachelor of Arts, The Guide, and Malgudi Days. Malgudi is a composite of Mysore and Madras. Mano Majra is the setting in Khushwant Singh's Train to Pakistan.
