Honeybees are eusocial insects living in highly organized colonies with: reproductive division of labor (queen, workers, drones), cooperative brood care, and overlapping generations. They are among the most studied social insects. Grasshoppers, lice, and cockroaches are solitary insects that do not form organized cooperative societies.
