CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) is a vacuum tube that fires electron beams onto a phosphorescent screen to create images. CRTs were the dominant display technology for TVs and computer monitors from the 1950s through the early 2000s, before being replaced by flat-panel LCD, LED, plasma, and OLED displays.
