Ctrl+V pastes the content from the clipboard into the current location in an application. The universal clipboard shortcuts: Ctrl+C = Copy, Ctrl+X = Cut, Ctrl+V = Paste. In some applications, Ctrl+Shift+V pastes without formatting. Ctrl+P is used for Print, not Paste.
