To apply for a GRE fee waiver first check your eligibility criteria as per below conditions to see in which category you fall then proceed for application process determined by ETS on their official website.

  • Eligibility Criteria

You must meet specific requirements to qualify for the GRE Fee Reduction Program.

  1. For College Seniors:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.

  • Must be receiving financial aid from a U.S. (or Puerto Rico) undergraduate college.

  • Have a FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) showing a parental contribution of less than $2,700 for your senior year, or be self-supporting with an SAR contribution of less than $3,200.

  • 2. For Unenrolled College Graduates:

Must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.

Must have applied for financial aid.

Be self-supporting with an SAR showing a contribution of less than $3,200.

  • 3. For Unemployed Applicants:

  • Must be 18 years or older and a U.S. citizen or resident alien.

  • Must have become unemployed in the past six months and remain unemployed.

  • Must provide an Unemployment Benefits Statement dated within the past 90 days.

Note: International students are not eligible for this program.

The voucher is valid for one test only, and if you wish to retake the GRE, you will need to apply again for another fee waiver
